For your beach fix within 1.5 hours of KL do not dismiss Port Dickson. If you can look past the crocodile sightings and maybe stay out of the water near the mangroves, then you will be lapping up the beach life just an easy drive from KL!

We stayed at Thistle hotel and would really recommend it for family friendly vibes with great pools and slides. The rooms are big, comfy and the breakfast was great. Sure it’s a little dated but it is right on the beach and very easy for a lazy weekend with small children.

In the evening we went to Lexis hotel to try out the Japanese restaurant and for a free fire show. Having seen how much this hotel costs, it didnt seem like it was worth it!

Pantai Cermin

Tanjung Tuan recreational forest and light house

Pantai Tanjung Biru

The water is ok, the sand is ok. If you need a beach fix it’s a great option but don’t have HIGH expectations.
