What a little paradise in the middle of the city.
I took my mum here for Mother’s Day. We arrived on this quiet, slightly eerie street in Central KL. Hidden amongst the strange abandoned buildings is the haven, Villa Samadhi.
I booked our one night trip via the website https://www.samadhiretreats.com/villa-samadhi-kuala-lumpur?catagoryId=16 which had great deals. We had a room, afternoon tea, cocktails and a turn down service. On arrival we went to the pool, had lunch and enjoyed the peace.

By a stroke of luck there was a plumbing issue in our room and we got upgraded to one of the ground floor rooms. These are almost entire apartments in size and come with a private jacuzzi pool. There was salt to add to it. The room was HUGE with two walk in rain showers, an extremely high bed and direct access to the pool. Everything about the room was thoughtful, well decorated and beautiful.

Afternoon tea was entirely vegetarian-winner. The sundowners cocktails was one hour of a set menu of cocktails. These included gin, espresso martini, wine amongst other things. After the cocktails we had dinner in the restaurant. The meals and wine were excellent and very reasonably priced.

The next day we had a la carte breakfast and a free Hari Raya buffet.

Again, it was great. We were meant to check out at 12 but they allowed us to stay until 1.30pm since no one was checking in.
We loved this stay. It was the perfect weekend and Mother’s Day celebration. A special place for sure. I would love to go back!
